The award-winning WYOmericana Caravan Tour, described by The New York Times as "a traveling concert circus of sorts," is a collaborative music tour in its 4th year that is varied in scope and features an eclectic bill of Wyoming's top bands totaling twelve musicians. It's a rolling representation of Wyoming's burgeoning songwriter scene -- a blend of Americana, funk, bluegrass, groove-rock, soul, folk, and country-blues. Each band has been playing regional festival stages in the past few years, and have built a grassroots following in the region. The tour was named the #1 A&E Event in Wyoming by Casper Star Tribune, and the documentary film WYOMERICANA (1st place at the Laramie Film Fest) captures the unique camaraderie element & cross-band collaborations that is absent from most modern day traveling shows. In May/early June, The Caravan will hit the road with a lineup procured specifically for the 2016 tour:
- Screen Door Porch (Americana/Country-Blues/Rock 4-piece; Voted #1 Album of 2015 on Wyoming Public Radio, played over 2 dozen festivals in last 2 years) http://screendoorporch.com/
- Sneaky Pete & the Secret Weapons (Funk/Rock/Jazz 6-piece dance band; debut album “Breakfast” reached number five on the Relix Magazine/Jambands.com radio chart, with sold out shows in Jackson Hole)http://www.secretweaponsmusic.com/
- The Littlest Birds (Folk/Bluegrass/Old-Time solo or duo; recently toured the UK and played Vancouver Folk Fest)
