The health statistics in Uganda are abysmal: a quarter of children will die before their 15th birthday, and the maternal mortality rate is one of the highest in the world. In the Kamuli District where Uganda Orphans Fund work, 24% of all deliveries result in stillbirths. Our clinic will specifically be a children's and maternal medical clinic. To our knowledge, it will be the only health facility in the area focused on mom's and kids.

That, in a nutshell, is why we're launching this medical clinic. We've been working in this region for over 10 years, and we think it's wrong that kids in the Kamuli community are dying of treatable diseases.
